CAPR is an opportunity to inform veterans and their dependents about veterans' benefits and how to obtain these benefits through the process of application and representation of claims. Registration with the CDVA opens doors to information and assistance in areas such as education, tuition assistance, healthcare, employment services, CalVet farm and home loans, fishing and hunting licenses, and state parks and recreation passes. By completing the CAPR online form, veterans will receive requested information instantly via e-mail. In addition, service providers will directly veterans to assist with specific requests. Registering for CAPR will also be automatically subscribe veterans the CDVA e-mail list to receive notifications of new legislation, newsletters, and other information about available benefits, along with be provided a point of contact at their local County Veterans Service Office.
