146th Airlift Wing hosts Tri-Warfare Middle School Challenge for STEM Students.
California Air National Guard Col. Keith Ward, Commander 146th Airlift Wing, congratulates Middle school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) students at the end of the Tri Warfare Middle School Challenge event with a handshake at Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, California. February 21, 2020. The wing hosted the event for the first time, partnering with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Outreach Coordinator Ramon Flores. Local middle school students were given the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences that demonstrate how engineers use math and science to develop ideas and solve problems.
