December's Airman of the month
Meet Staff Sgt. Matthew Woltman, our newest Airman of the month and a proud member of the Civil Engineering Squadron. Woltman has been in the service for 13 years now, and spent nine years on active duty with the Navy. “To become a great leader you have to know how to be a great follower,” said Woltman when asked what he has learned since joining the Air Guard in 2008. A native of Yuma, Ariz., he is a shipping and receiving manager for a firearms dealer. Firearms and mountain biking are a few of his hobbies. He enjoys traveling and hopes to return to Greece again someday; one of the places he visited while deployed. Woltman enjoys his job, and says if he could pick any job in the Air Force it would be Structures. “I enjoy my job. It’s hard work, but we have fun doing it.” (photo by: Senior Airman Nicholas Carzis
