MAFFS Training in Angeles Forest 2013
A C-130J from the 146th Airlift Wing, California Air National Guard, follows a CALFIRE OV-10 Bronco lead plane to a simulated wildfire retardant drop during Modular Airborne Firefighting Systems (MAFFS) training in the Angeles National Forest May 16, 2013. The 146th Airlift Wing, U.S. Forest Service and CALFIRE recently held their annual MAFFS recertification and training, a collaborative effort for all participating agencies to prepare together for the upcoming wildfire season.
