CAL-EANGUS with USAA support provides a $500 Educational Scholarship to a
California Guard member each year. Please distribute this message to your
military members so that they can take advantage of this great opportunity.


Requirements and qualifications are in the attached policy. They are
briefly outlined as follows:


1. Applicants need to have demonstrated to perform their duties as outlined
in the policy.
2. Must have a minimum of one-year minimum service (Exception is outlined
in the policy.) 3. Must be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree or
enrolled in a vocational school


Applicants need to submit the following:


1. Scholarship application form (see attached) 2. Current transcript,
statement of work in progress from the educational facility or other
evidence of program participation 3. A letter of recommendation from their
squadron commander. This letter should describe the endorsement reason and
have a brief description of the individual's potential.


The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is NLT than COB on
August 15.


Completed applications will be submitted to me via email,
