Here is the latest news and information that you need to know from the 146th!

146th participates in 9/11 ceremonies honoring those fallen
As everyone knows this UTA weekend falls on the 10 year anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. There are several different ceremonies that will be taking place on Sunday to honor those who have fallen and give thanks to people serving. The first service will be held at the Ventura County Government Center at 800 S. Victoria Ave at 1100 on Sunday. This ceremony is hosted by Ventura County and will include several members of the 146th, including Master of Ceremonies Colonel Lou Danner, the 146th AW Honor Guard and the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest. Although your presence is appreciated, it is not required and members must have supervisor's approval to attend this ceremony as it is in the middle of the duty day. The 146th will host its own 9/11 ceremony on Sunday as well at 1500 in Heritage Plaza. All members are welcome to attend and your UOD is acceptable for both ceremonies.

NATIONAL CASTING CALL -The Air National Guard is still seeking talent!!!
Come be a part of an exciting advertising TV Commercial Shoot for the Air National Guard.
The Air National Guard is conducting a television production scheduled to take place in November 2011, and the location is Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, CA.
The purpose of the shoot is to highlight Air Guard Health Professionals fulfilling the humanitarian mission of service to the community through the HRF mission. However, you do not need to be in the health profession career field to submit your casting information, We need Airmen from all career fields.
A casting call will be conducted on base during DRILL WEEKEND (SEPTEMBER 2011). If you are interested in participating we will be collecting your information and capturing your photo during that time. LM&O Advertising will be onsite and available at the DINING HALL FACILITY DURING DRILL WEEKEND.

Organizations of Interest come to the Channel Island's Café
Hong Tran, Personnel Financial Planner vetted thru DoD, will be available by appointment on Saturday and Sunday UTA weekend. Appointments start at 0800 both days and end at 1630. Mr. Tran will also be at a table in front of the dining facility to answer questions from 1100-1300 both days. Please contact Kim Evans directly if you would like to set up an appointment to see him. Appointment times begin at 0800-1100 and resume at 1400-1630 Saturday and 0800-1100 resuming at 1300-1600 on Sunday. Kim Evans will also be available all weekend for one on one appointments or family therapy sessions, contact her at 986-7549. Tom Bellen with Military One Source will also be available on Saturday September 10th in front of the dining facility from 1030-1330. He will be able to answer any questions about Military One Source and will have some freebies as well.

Free child care offered for members during UTA weekends
Members of the 146th now have the opportunity to take advantage of FREE child care during UTA weekends. Two locations, one in Oxnard another in Camarillo, are providing free care for a total 12 children during regularly scheduled UTA weekends from 0600-1800. Meals are included and proper paperwork needs to be filled out as well as a copy of the child's shot records. This service is open to every member that is on UTA status and rank does NOT matter. 2012 UTA Schedule now available online
The UTA schedule for the 2012 for the 146th Airlift Wing is now available for members to view and print. The schedule is available on Sharepoint with a link on the front page. Be sure to get your copy!
