146th Airlift Wing hosts Tri-Warfare Middle School Challenge for STEM Students.

Middle school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) students collaborate to build a model bridge from pasta and adhesives that can withstand the most weight during the Tri Warfare Middle School Challenge at Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, California. February 21, 2020. The wing hosted the event for the first time, partnering with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Outreach Coordinator Ramon Flores. Local middle school students were given the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences that demonstrate how engineers use math and science to develop ideas and solve problems.
